Academi Holdings LLC Completes a Recapitalization Transaction with Existing Investors

HERNDON, Va., Sept. 30, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Academi Holdings, LLC has successfully completed a recapitalization transaction with its existing investors, significantly reducing its indebtedness and securing additional capital to support future growth. This strategic move also includes a realignment of the company's operations into two new divisions: Global Security Services (GSS) and Mission Support Services (MSS).

Paul Donahue, the company's Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed President of GSS, while Andy Hartsog has been elevated to Executive Vice President, overseeing MSS.

The recapitalization was supported by a consortium led by Arini Capital Management, AlbaCore Capital, and Barings, which committed €110 million in long-term funding as part of the transaction.
